However, Apple has recently jumped into the phablet bandwagon with its iPhone 6 Plus—which is reportedly Apple's best-selling smartphone of 2014—and even Nokia has delivered with its supersized Nokia Lumia 1520.

Design:
The iPhone 6 Plus has the same premium feel as the iPhone 6. It has an aluminium body and it measures 6.22 x 3.06 x 0.28 inches and weighs 6.07 ounces.

Meanwhile, the Lumia 1520 has curved sides, rounded edges, and like other Lumia devices, it is covered in a colorful plastic shell. The phone measures 6.41 x 3.36 x 0.34 inches and weighs 7.37 ounces. The handset is available in yellow, white, green, black, and red.
When it comes to looks, the iPhone 6 Plus wins for its luxurious design, but those who want a break from the typical metallic-looking phone might prefer the vividly colored Lumia 1520.
Features:
The Nokia handset is powered by a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with 2GB of RAM and runs on Windows Phone 8, while the Apple phone has the dual core Apple 8 chip and runs on the Apple iOS 8.
The Lumia 1520 has a 6-inch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and pixel density of 368ppi. While the iPhone 6 Plus has a smaller screen at 5.5 inches and the same resolution as the Nokia phone, it has better pixel density at 401 pixels per inch.
The Apple device comes in several internal storage options from 16GB to 128GB, but this cannot be expanded. As for the Nokia phone, it comes in 16GB and 32GB variants and can be expanded with a microSD card up to 64GB.
The Lumia 1520 has an excellent rear-facing 20MP camera, and up front is a 1.2MP shooter. The iPhone 6 Plus has an 8MP rear-facing camera and a 1.2MP front-facing camera.

The Nokia Lumia 1520 costs $550, while the iPhone 6 Plus costs $749.
