Nokia Lumia 1525 Release Date, Specs: Rumored Phablet Missing in the Lumia IFA 2014 Event in Berlin
With the recent Lumia IFA 2014 trade show in Berlin, Nokia launched their top of the line Lumia devices namely the Nokia Lumia 730 Dual SIM, Nokia Lumia 735 and the Nokia Lumia 830, but there's no Lumia 1525.
Nokia Lumia 1525 has long been rumored as Microsoft Corp.'s next flagship in the phablet competition. Purported to run with Windows Phone 8.1, the Lumia phone will be a "beefed-up" update of the series.
In a report by PhoneArena.com, Lumia 1525 would don a 2.26 or 2.45GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chip with Adreno 420 graphics. It is said to have 6-inches 1440 x 2560, 490 ppi touchscreen display with a booted 3GB of RAM and microSD support port.
As for the camera, it have a "truly innovative" imaging capacity found on most later Lumia phones that features faster yet high-quality still and moving captures. It is reported to either have a 25 or 30-megapixel snapper.
It will have a longer-lasting 3,400mAh battery and "some sort of solar-charging display panel."
As for the price, it is said to cost "not that far" from its predecessor, the Lumia 1520, which as of publication date now cost £340 in Amazon.
PC Advisor U.K. further reported that there's still no official release date mentioned for the Lumia 1525 and that news about it won't likely come this year.
In line with this report, Gospel Herald stated in their site that the rumored device will be available in the U.S. via carriers like AT&T, Verizon Communications Inc., and T-Mobile U.S.
