Notre Dame vs Iowa State takes place in the NCAA 2013 second round on Friday night as the round of 64 nears an end. Both teams will be vying for a spot in the third round and will be desperate not to get dumped out early in the tournament. The game is scheduled to tip off at 9.45 p.m. ET and can be watched online through free live stream (details below).

Notre Dame can feel in confident mood, having already shown their credentials in their five-overtime win against Louisville earlier this season. They will believe they have what it takes to go far this year, although they will know just as much that they need to step up and fulfill expectations in them this season.

This will be a major test for Notre Dame, as Iowa State have one of the best offensive sides in the country. Iowa finished fourth in the Big 12, and have shown they can mix it with the best teams out there.

Iowa state went 22-11 in their season and 11-7 in the Big 12. They are fourth in the nation for scoring, with an average of 79.6 points per game, and have four players who are averaging in the double digits per game. They also have two other players who are averaging between nine and 10 points a game, meaning that they can score points throughout their team. So Notre Dame's defense will have to be right on the money today to keep Iowa quiet.

No. 7 seeded Notre Dame against No. 10 Iowa State will tip off at about 9.55 p.m. ET and can be watched on TV on the CBS network. Alternatively the game can also be watched online through free live stream by clicking here.
