President Obama has an upcoming election to worry about, but the one thing that perhaps has him even more concerned? The idea of his daughter, Malia, getting a Facebook page.

"I know the folks at Facebook; they've revolutionized social networks. But Malia, because she's well-known, I'm very keen on protecting her privacy. She can make her own decisions as she gets older, but right now, for security reasons, she does not have a Facebook page," he told the audience during a special on MTV.

Malia would be one of the first daughters to have such a concern as Facebook is a relatively recent phenomenon. President Bush's daughters, Barbara and Jenna, were already college-age when he was in the White House, and Facebook was not around when first daughter Chelsea Clinton entered the White House. The entire country watched as the Clintons' daughter grew up in the limelight, but she was relatively quiet and kept to herself.

Of course, if Obama should win a second term, the country will watch as Malia comes of age and goes through the ritual of getting her driver's license. "That always worries a parent," Obama told MTV. "Sooner or later, they've got to leave the nest, so we'll have to figure out how she gets the lessons."

And should Malia want to start dating, she will certainly have unique obstacles to overcome. Not only will a potential date have to meet with her father and mother's approval, he will have to go through special screening by the Secret Service.

The Obama daughters have become media sensations in their own ways since entering the White House in 2008. Younger daughter Sasha is the youngest child to live in the White House since John F. Kennedy, Jr.
