Oklahoma City Thunder will face off against the Miami Heat on Christmas day in a repeat of last season's NBA Finals. The game is scheduled to start at 5.30 p.m. ET and can be watched online through live stream (details below).
In last season's NBA Finals the Miami Heat lost Game 1 against the Thunder, before grinding out some close contests and finally comprehensively overcoming Oklahoma City with four straight wins. That became only the second NBA title in the franchise's history, and will give them a to of confidence to come into this game and get the result.
Le Bron James has said prior to the game: "We wanna play well and that's all that matters. We don't look at it (like) 'let's see where we're at' or how it's gonna define our season. We wanna play well, we wanna win, and that's our main objective," according to NBA.com.
Kevin Durant has also said something similar: "It's so long ago. Of course, I learned a lot since then. But to be honest, it's just another game on the schedule. I gotta come and show up for my team, be a leader on the court for my team, that's all I'm worried about."
Durant will be a central figure in this game and will have a big say in who comes out on top. So far this season he is posting some of the best figures of his career, including field-goal percentage (52.1), rebounds (8.4) and assists (4.2).
Russell Westbrook equally has excelled, with 8.8 assists and 2.1 steals per game.
James has said, "They're two of the best players in the league. You don't even have to put them at their respective positions, they're just two of the best."
