Bayern are one of the favourites in the competition.

Bayern Munich look to get a big win in their first UEFA Champions League match of the season when they face Olympiakos Piraeus in a Group F battle.

The match will be on September 16, 2015 at 2:45 PM ET and will be at Stadio Georgios Karaiskaki.

Despite playing away from home, Munich are clearly the team favoured to win as they are even considered as one of the teams touted to win the whole tournament.

Along with these two battling teams, Group F consists of Dinamo Zagreb and Arsenal FC.

However, expect Olympiakos to put on a spirited fight in front of their home crowd and they are in great form to upset the German giants.

In the Greek Super League, Olympiakos are on top of the table after three matches, winning all their games so far.

They automatically qualified to the group stages this year so their last appearance in the competition was in last year's group stages.

Olympiakos missed out by a single point in the group as they finished third and were relegated to the UEFA Europa League as Atletico Madrid and Juventus moved on.

Now they are looking for upsets in order to reach the competition's knockout stages.

Meanwhile, Bayern are also doing well in their domestic league so far, winning their first four games to be tied on points atop the Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund. They are only behind by goal difference but the offensive squad can easily erase that deficit.

As for last year's European Cup run, Bayern were looking to add to their trophy case as they steamrolled through Shakhtar Donetsk in the last-16 finals with a 7-0 aggregate victory.

In the quarterfinals, they faced Porto and were upset 3-1 in the first leg of the match. However, the Bavarians were able to come back and win the second leg 6-1 to move on with a 7-4 aggregate victory.

With only four teams left, Bayern faced FC Barcelona in the semifinals and lost the first leg 3-0. They won the second leg 3-2 but fell short as the eventual European champions moved on to the finals with a 5-3 aggregate win.
