'Once Upon a Time' and Marvel Comics Tie-In News, Details: New Comic Book Available for Pre-Order

Earlier this week, fans of the hit fantasy drama series "Once Upon a Time" were excited when the official Twitter account of the show released a series of image teasers.

The photos showed water color style renditions of a hook, dagger, and rose, which as OUAT viewers might already know represents Hook (Colin O'Donoghue), Mr. Gold (Robert Carlyle), and Belle (Emilie de Ravin), respectively.

However, what left the public wondering was the small Marvel logo sitting opposite of ABC's.

Earlier speculative reports cited the possibility that the Twitter post could be in connection to the second installment of OUAT and Marvel Comics tie-in. Hypable referred to the 2013-released comic issue "Once Upon a Time: Shadow of the Queen" where the story delved into the Evil Queen and the Huntsman's relationship.

The speculation was correct. The image teasers could very well refer to an upcoming spin-off comic issue by Marvel based off the popular TV series.

Amazon even posted a description of the item and it reads:

"Return to the immersive world of ABC's hit television series ONCE UPON A TIME with an all-new sequel to the original graphic novel, ONCE UPON A TIME: The Shadow of the Queen. Welcome to the Enchanted Forest, where the characters from classic fairy tales have come to life and are locked in an epic struggle between good and evil! Plotted by series writer and co-executi ve producer, Kalinda Vazquez, and co-written by returning author Corinna Bechko, the release will tie into official show continuity and dive in to four never-before-told stories of fan favorite characters!"

The reported graphic novel will hit the stores this coming April 14, 2015 and it will be sold for $15.18.

For the meantime, "Once Upon a Time" will return for the second half of its Season 4 March 1 with an episode titled "Darkness on the Edge of Town."
