'Once Upon a Time' Season 4 Spoilers, Cast News: Showrunners Tease Details of Character Development

The showrunners of the hit supernatural drama TV series "Once Upon A Time" Season 4 recently sat down with TV Guide to reveal some meaty details about the show including the development happening between Emma (Jennifer Morrison) and Hook (Colin O'Donoghue), Robin Hood returning to Storybrooke, and other plot spoilers.

Showrunner Edward Kitsis teased the dating status of Emma and Hook.

"They're getting pretty close," the executive producer told TVGuide. "For Emma we've seen that she has a tough time letting people in. It took Henry a year, it took her parents a few years. I think she's just starting to open up her heart and that she and Hook are seeing what happens."

Fans have also been speculating about the return of Robin Hood to the "OUAT" world. To this Adam Horowitz confirmed.

"That you will. Robin Hood returns to the world of Once Upon a Time and how he comes back and why and when and where we want to keep a secret for now," Horowitz said.

Given the proliferation of other Disney world characters into the ABC TV series, the publication's Hanh Nguyen went on to probe if the show has ever considered bringing some Marvel characters into it.

"Marvel, no," Kitsis answered. "We often have Henry reading Marvel. It kind of feels like Marvel is the domain of S.H.I.E.L.D."

Kitsis went on to explain that the show still has a lot of characters which they still "haven't got to" introduce and that they "think are fun" to do.

For the meantime, "Once Upon a Time" Season 4 airs this Sunday, March 1 on ABC with episode titled "Darkness on the Edge of Town."

Meanwhile, a synopsis for the upcoming segment was posted on the Futon Critic that reads:

"With Gold banished from town, the residents of Storybrooke attempt to resume their normal lives. Hook and Belle search for a way to release the fairies from the Sorcerer's hat, while Emma, Henry and Regina continue to look for clues that could lead them to the Author. But when a terrifying darkness descends on the town, Emma and Regina are forced to confront the true nature of evil. Meanwhile, in New York, Gold and Ursula enlist Cruella De Vil to join their cause."
