'Once Upon A Time' Season 6 News, Updates, Spoilers: Recap of 6.03, "The Other Shoe"; Cinderella and Her Not-So-Evil Stepsister

It looks like happy endings for the meantime on "Once Upon A Time" (OUAT), Season 3 Episode 3: "The Other Shoe," as a rehash of Ashley aka Ella aka Cinderella's (played by Jessie Schram) backstory veered away completely from the Disney fairy tale everyone is familiar with. Meanwhile, Emma (Jennifer Morrison) has finally plucked up the courage to ask Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) to move in with her.

What went down in 'Once Upon a Time' Season 6 Episode 3

OUAT Season 3 Episode 3 saw to a guilt-ridden Ashley (or Ella, or Cinderella), who blames herself for getting in the way of her stepsister Clorinda. Clorinda was actually a nice girl, different from her mother, Lady Tremaine, and is looking to marry her secret boyfriend Jacob, Prince Thomas' footman. Cinderella tried to help her out by giving her a key that would turn any door into a portal into the Land of Untold Stories.

Then things on OUAT 3.03 quickly went downhill from there. Cinderella folded almost immediately after Lady Tremaine pestered her with insults, and revealed the locale of Clorinda and Jacob's getaway. Soon enough, viewers found themselves staring down the barrel of Cinderella's rifle, who's out looking for Clorinda before Lady Tremaine gets to her.

But too late: when she arrives for her, Tremaine has already turned her against Cinderella. Clorinda is filled with hate as she discovered her betrayal. Jacob quickly put a stopper to that vengeance, however - but that still didn't change the fact that Lady Tremaine didn't like Jacob and wanted Clorinda to end up with the Prince (she wanted to be Queen, as all stepmothers often do).

The evil stepmother then stabbed Cinderella out of spite, but thankfully, Emma (Jennifer Morrison) pulled herself together long enough to heal her wounds. Lady Tremaine, on the other hand, was banished as a farmhand, and everyone else gets some peace and happiness.

Other non-Cinderella news

But apart from the kickass retelling of Cinderella's backstory, OUAT 3.03 also saw to Emma finally asking Hook to move in with her. He accepted, of course. Prince Charming/David (Josh Dallas), on the other hand, found out that his dad had been murdered, though he assured Snow that he's beyond vengeance anymore. Or is he?

The Evil Queen (Lana Parilla), on the other hand, had freed Hyde (Sam Witwer) and ordered him to steal Dr. Jekyll's (Hank Harris) serum. She's also sunk her claws into Zelena (Rebecca Mader), who's not too happy that Regina had split her personality to rid herself of the Evil Queen, only to have it incarnate in pure evil form, with no good Regina to combat her.

'Once Upon A Time' Season 6 Episodes 4, 5 Spoilers

How will everyone fare with these new developments? 'Once Upon A Time' Season 6 Episode 4: "Strange Case," will introduce fans to yet another famous Princess: Jasmine of Agrabah, who's now working as a teacher in Storybrooke. It won't be the last time fans see her, either, as TVLine reported that OUAT Season 3's fifth episode, "Street Rats," will delve deeper into her and Aladdin's backstory.

"Once Upon A Time" Season 6 Episode 4 will air on Sunday, Oct. 16, on ABC.
