One Direction star Harry Styles recently showed off a new tattoo, adding yet another to his already large collection of body art, and new reports suggest that he may be planning to get his very first face tattoo.

The 18-year-old shared a photo of his new ink, which features drama masks alongside what appears to be a birdcage, on One Direction's Twitter fan site and while it is still unclear exactly how many tattoos the singer has some fans have estimated that he may have up to 17 tattoos.

New reports suggest that Styles, who recently performed with his band mates at an iTunes Festival, became inspired by a performer called Angel who supported One Direction during their gig. Angel has various facial tattoos which reportedly caught Styles' eye.

"Harry Styles was fascinated by Angel's face tattoos," a source reportedly told the Daily Star UK. "So he [Angel] offered to take Harry down to see his friend who did the tattoo and runs a tattoo parlor in Fulham. They swapped numbers."

Styles' extensive tattoo collection currently features the words "17 Black," which he had inked on his collarbone; the letters "SMCL," which he inked on his ribcage; the word "Pingu" and much more.

The teenage heart throb is now also preparing to have one half of his arm completely covered in tattoos, a tattooing style that is commonly referred to as a "sleeve."

''I'm doing him a half sleeve which he doesn't mind people knowing about," tattooist Kevin Paul, who reportedly has various celebrity clients, told the website Sugarscape.com.

As well as garnering attention for his multiple tattoos, Styles has recently been in the headlines following rumors surrounding his love life.

The singer was reportedly spotted with Australian pop star Natalie Imbruglia, 37, at a mutual friend's wedding. The pair were allegedly stayed at the same hotel and the following morning were seen at a scheduled breakfast together.

"Everyone was talking about how Harry was really smitten with Natalie. They got on like a house on fire and were clearly very into each other. The next morning Harry was given a grilling by the other guests. He was overheard telling one that he thinks Natalie is an amazing woman," a source reportedly told the Daily Mirror U.K.
