In the upcoming chapter 860 of "One Piece," fans are expecting to see the Straw Hats, led by the Monkey D. Luffy, and Capone "Gang" Bege's Fire Tank Pirates crew carry out their plan of assassinating Big Mom. However, a number of readers are also adamant that they will not succeed.
On the recently released "One Piece" chapter 859, Luffy made peace with Capone and the two agreed to form a plan on how they are going to kill Big Mom. However, fans think that the two pirate crews are doomed to fail and Charlotte Brûlée has something to do with it.

A Reddit user named blessedapple also shared that there is little chance for Luffy to succeed. Blessedapple claims that they had a chance to talk with "One Piece" creator Eiichiro Oda, who told them "everyone's plans, and everything that is going to happen."
Then, blessedapple hinted, "If this were Bleach or DBZ, you know Ichigo and Goku will just brute force their way to victory, but there is absolutely no telling what will happen next chapter."
Reddit users who commented on blessedapple's post agree that any plan made by Luffy is more likely to fail the first time. In fact, fans are joking that it would be an even greater surprise if Luffy's plans with Capone are successful in chapter 860 - an incident that one fan called "the biggest plot twist in One Piece."
On the other hand, iTechPost also notes that some fans think Luffy and Capone might actually be able to face Big Mom. However, the possibility of the plot being leaked is still considered, thus there is also a theory that Big Mom will let the Straw Hats and Fire Tank pirates get close to her where a huge army is already waiting to counter the assassination.
