OnePlus 2 Specs, Release Date: 'Flagship Killer' Successor Shows Up on Chinese TENAA, Announcement Imminent
Since the failure of OnePlus to supply its OnePlus One smartphones to buyers last year, a lot of Android fans have been waiting for the announcement of the flagship's successor.
And it seems like the next-generation smartphone of the Android "flagship killer" is already on its way in China.
According to a report by GSM Arena, the Oxygen OS-powered smartphone has already passed the TENAA in China, which is the government agency that certifies mobile phones and allows them to be sold in the country.
Similar to previous leaks from the Chinese website, the OnePlus 2 also had some of its specs unveiled.
In the report, the OnePlus 2 packs a 5.5-inch display with QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution, a Snapdragon 810 chipset from Qualcomm, octa-core CPU, an Adreno 430 GPU, a whopping 4GB of RAM, and a 32GB of built-in memory.
For camera enthusiasts, you may be disappointed that the upcoming Android flagship only packs a 13MP primary camera, but that is compensated by the adequate 8MP shooter in front.
Completing the leaked specs of the OnePlus 2 include a 3,300mAh battery, an auto laser focus for photography, a 'mute' button, and a fingerprint scanner in front of the device.
While the phone has already passed TENAA, we still cannot make sure when the device would be unveiled outside of China. But as far as pricing details are concerned, OnePlus' CEO himself confirmed that the device will be priced at less than $450.
