OnePlus One Specs Review, Price Details: Smartphone Sells for Just $300

The OnePlus One is an unusual high-spec smartphone in the sense that it's priced at half than most of the high-end smartphones in the market. Since its release earlier in June, the OnePlus One has been regarded as a game changer proving that a high-end phone can also be budget friendly as well.

The company however faced hundreds of refund requests from customers who have purchased their phones because of a yellow band screen issue. This doesn't necessarily mean trouble for OnePlus but the refunds isn't helping with the phone's promotion.

Before release, the phone was only attainable through invites and pre-orders but now that it is released, the phone can be bought in selected stores like Oppomart.

As for the specs, the One first comes with a 5.5-inch full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution screen protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core 2.5GHz Krait 400 processor.

The One has 16GB and 64GB variants but doesn't have microSD support. It also sports a 3GB RAM and an Adreno 330 graphics processor.

The phone's camera stands as a 13-megapixel snapper with dual-LED flash, capable of recording up to 2160p@30fps.

The One supports Android 4.4.2 but can be upgraded to 4.4.4.

The impressive part about his phone is the selling price. The OnePlus One goes for around $300 according to GSMArena. Other high-end phones of the same class like the LG G3 or the Samsung Galaxy S5 go for around $600-$800.

If anything, the OnePlus One could become a fierce contender in the high-end smartphone market with its impressive specs and insanely low price. The phone itself, however, still faces some problems but no doubt OnePlus will be fixing those soon enough.
