Colombia – Students of Lucero Alto School, a private Christian school for the poor in Colombia, expressed gratitude to their sponsors, Operation Blessing International and CDA Columbia.

The students, who receive not only a solid education but also breakfast and lunch, obtain 75% of their daily nutritional requirements through the OBI’s newly adopted Nutrition Project.

"I want to thank God and all of you for the valuable help you have given me through the school breakfasts," shared one student. "Just like many others, I didn't have a way to eat breakfast until the school gave it to me. I didn't eat anything at home because there was no money to buy such things. This is why I am happy with the breakfasts provided by the school. I am grateful."

According to CDA’s Missy Christie, the project, which now feeds an average of 650 children everyday, improved both the children’s nutritional and academic health.

"Their academic level improved as well as their overall nutritional state. God has truly used (OBI) as an instrument of blessing to many little lives,” said Christie.

OBI hopes to extend an awareness of faith through such outreach.
