Operation Rescue’s Truth Trucks Teach About Abortion on “America’s Party Tour”

Beginning at the Inaugural Ceremony in Washington, DC, Operation Rescue’s Truth Trucks convey a strong pro-life statement as they continue their tour of major events throughout Florida and Louisiana.

While many will be heading to Jacksonville, Florida, to attend the annual Superbowl games this weekend, Operation Rescue’s Truth Truck fleet will be there with a different purpose- to educate the public about abortion.

Operation Rescue’s Truth Trucks display graphic photographs of aborted babies, in order to show people the grisly side behind abortions and communicate a pro-life message. Operation Rescue launched the “America’s Party Tour” on January 19, 2005, beginning at the inaugural festivities in Washington, DC, and traveling through major festivals around the nation.

“It is not fitting that America should celebrate as if the brutal deaths of 50 million innocent children had never occurred,” said Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue. “Our Truth Trucks will be a powerful visual reminder at these heavily attended events that we cannot turn the other way while innocent children are dying.”

“We know from experience the Truth Trucks save lives and they change the hearts and minds of the American people. Our experience teaches us that the best time to reach people is when they are at leisure, unencumbered by thoughts of work or their daily routines. Therefore, we will roll through America's party towns, showing the horrific truth about abortion until all life is protected,” said Newman.

This week, the Truth Trucks stopped at the Gasparilla Pirate Festival in Tampa Bay, Florida. They will visit Jacksonville for Superbowl weekend and conclude the tour at the Mardi Gras celebration in New Orleans, Louisiana, on February 8.
