Oppo F5 Specs, Release Date: New Promo Posters Showcase Flagship's Design, Tease Arrival in October

Oppo F5, the next flagship by the Chinese tech firm, is yet to be made official but it looks like it is being prepared for its highly anticipated unveiling.

New posters teasing the device have been spotted in the Philippines, showing the next-generation F-series handset in black and red and teasing what is believed to be an imminent announcement.

The promotional materials, which feature Alden Richards and Sarah Geronimo, who are deemed two of the top endorsers of Oppo in the country, also have the slogan "Capture the real you."

The Oppo F5 is also described as a "Selfie Expert" handset, which, per GSM Arena, suggests that it will feature a dual camera setup on the front — something that the company has become known for.

Oppo has also been teasing the flagship's arrival by sending purported units to some of its celebrity endorsers in the Philippines including actress Julia Barretto, who revealed that the handset is coming this October.

It is expected that the Oppo F5 will be launched in conjunction with the opening of a new Oppo flagship store in Manila next month so it looks like it won't be long before users get to see the smartphone in the flesh.

With regard to the specs and features, the new Oppo offering is expected to come with a 6-inch display with full high-definition (HD) resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio for a taller screen, which means the company is joining the bezel-less design trend.

This could also be the reason the fingerprint sensor is on the back of the handset as seen in the posters. Oppo usually embeds this feature on the home button, but now that it is shedding its bezels for a sleeker Oppo F5, the fingerprint sensor had to be moved, making the handset the first from the company to sport that setup.
