'Orange is the New Black' Cast News, Update: Jason Biggs Not in Season 3, Could 'Possibly' Appear Later

Recent casting news for the upcoming brand new third season of the hit jail bird TV drama series "Orange is the New Black" confirmed actor Jason Biggs not returning to the show.

A report from The Daily Mail indicated that the show's writers were currently "not focusing" on his character Larry Bloom any more. However, the "American Pie" star didn't rule out any possibility of returning for his role in the future series.

"They're not focusing on Larry at the moment," Biggs said. "Larry will not be in season three. But there's always a possibility he can come back."

Bigg's character appeared in the show from its inception in 2013 where he was featured as the fiancé for the crime comedy-drama's female lead Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling). The character's screen time appearance ever since diminished when he broke off his engagement with the protagonist after having an affair with the latter's best friend.

The publication went on to add that the 36-year-old star will meanwhile be involved in the upcoming Broadway play "The Heidi Chronicles" alongside "Mad Men" alum Elisabeth Moss in the coming month.

Meanwhile, the most awaited third season installment of "Orange is the New Black" is expected to premiere in the online streaming service Netflix this coming June.

Among the returning stars aside from Schilling will be Laura Prepon as Alex Vause, Uzo Aduba as Suzanne "Crazy Eyes" Warren, Kate Mulgrew as "Red" Reznikov, as well as the Australian newcomer Ruby Rose who is reported to play the third point on the lesbian love affair between Piper and Alex.
