'Orange is the New Black' Season 3 Release Date, Cast News: Actor Jason Biggs Explains Absence; Is Vee Really Alive?
Original cast member Jason Biggs previously confirmed to the press that his character, Larry, won't be appearing on the third season of the hit drama-comedy series "Orange is the New Black," which has a release date set for June 2015.
But the actor, who's doing the Broadway play "The Heidi Chronicles," recently spoke with HuffPost Live on Thursday to shed more light about his absence and whether or not fans of the show could still see him in the future seasons.
"It's not a Larry season," he told host HuffPost's Josh Zepps. "They have a lot of characters to service on that show and, at the end of the day, it's a women's prison show. Larry is not a woman or in prison.
"But the good news is with a show like that, there's always the possibility that he could come back. And I would go back in a heartbeat," he went on to say.
But of course his heart still goes out to his jailbird show family, who apparently, he still has some connections with.
"I'm actually really excited to see Season 3, and talking to a bunch of people over there, I think it's going to be pretty awesome," he added.
Meanwhile, a report from TMZ indicates that Lorraine Toussaint, who plays the antagonist Vee, could still get some screentime in the upcoming season of the show.
TMZ said that the character, who has been left for dead in the last moments of Season 2, could still be seen again "in a flashback appearance." This is due to the actor's commitments to the ABC show "Forever," the media outlet added.
"Orange is the New Black" Season 3 has a premiere date set for June 12, 2015 on Netflix.
