'Orphan Black' Season 3 Spoilers, Cast News: Teasers About New Characters Revealed
Latest news about the hit science fiction TV series "Orphan Black" indicated that the show is now set to kick off for its third season run and that it will be teeming with new characters.
Speaking during the Television Critics Association press tour on Saturday, The Wrap cited series co-creator and several cast members revealing details for the upcoming third season of BBC America's show. One star hinted that one new member "is a scorpion."
"We're very excited to have a few new characters with us this season," showrunner John Fawcett told The Wrap. "James Frain joins us for Episode 1 … He plays a really amazing, scary guy that come from Topside, and is a very dangerous threat to our girls."
"There is a new character in Alison's world … by the name of Jason Kellerman," the executive producer said. "That's an interesting character because he kind of is an old high school flame of Alison's. He kind of gets in the way a little bit and causes issues between Donnie (Kristian Bruun) and Alison."
Frain will play the character named Ferdinant, "a well-educated cleaner."
As for Kellerman, TW said that the newcomer will be played by Justin Chatwin. The latter's character will be that of a savvy drug-dealer.
As for the "arthropod" character, Fawcet only said that "the scorpion is a cast member."
"Orphan Black" will air its premiere for Season 3 this Saturday, April 18 on BBC America.
