Star Wars Episode VII Plot Rumors: Spoilers Addressed by Oscar Isaac - 'They Couldn't Be More Off'

Rumors upon rumors seem to spring out of nowhere about what the upcoming Star Wars movie would be about. In order to shed light on all of this chaos, a cast member stepped out to say that fans are still way off base.

Speaking with Yahoo! Movies, Oscar Isaac sat down to not only give some insight on his role in the upcoming title but also to clarify what the self-proclaimed "secret sources" have to say about the movie production.

"I can't speak for the cast and crew, I can just speak for myself, but for me I thought, 'Don't you want to wait so you can get the real thing?' But it creates excitement for it. I don't think these little leaks necessarily ruined watching the trailer. And also, the [plot theories] that get that formulated based on these things — they couldn't be more far off-base," the 35-year-old "Inside Llewyn Davis" actor said.

When asked as to in what extent the Star Wars VII crew would go in order to protect the secrecy of the film's production, Isaac reveals the following:

"You go to the place, and they have a room with cameras and you sit there and read the script," he said.

"They're incredibly protective, because nowadays, with however many hundreds of blogs and this and that, people are just ravenous for content. So because of that, there has to be such tight security around it. And it gets in the way of the process a bit, but it's understandable," he added.

Isaac will be playing a major role in the J.J. Abrams-helmed Star Wars. He will suit up as the mysterious X-Wing pilot seen in the teaser trailer called Poe Dameron.

Everything will be revealed when "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" opens in theaters Dec. 18, 2015.
