In other news, fans of the writer Diana Gabaldon might rejoice as they will about to see the author make her acting debut in the forthcoming episode.

In a report by Entertainment Weekly, Gabaldon will be making a cameo as a character named Iona MacTavish, an appearance of which she called "a tiny scenelet."

"Just a couple of lines of dialogue. They could then film that pretty quickly on its own, and I'd then be released … The lady in question is at the Gathering, and the scenelet in question takes place in one of the galleries over the Great Hall," the 62 year-old novelist said.
