'Outlander' Season 2 Episode 4 Spoilers: Claire and Jamie Host a Party to Dissuade Prince Charles Supporters

Starz's hit drama TV series "Outlander" Season 2 returns this week with a brand new episode that will see Claire and Jamie hosting a party with a purpose of dissuading influential people from supporting Prince Charles' war. Meanwhile, Jamie uncovers the truth that his wife has been hiding from him.

TV Listings said that in episode 4 titled "La Dame Blanche," the couple will organize a wine and dine event which will be attended by some of the members of the French high society. As said earlier, it would be to influence the guests from raising funds for the war. However, the event will also reveal that not everyone is happy in their efforts and someone will even attempt to poison Claire.

In an interview, actress Caitrona Balfe, the star who plays Claire, told The Hollywood Reporter that the culprit is Comte St. Germain.

"So when this happens, first of all she goes to Master Raymond [Dominique Pinon] who she considered her friend and interrogates him over whether he had any part in it," Balfe said. "But she has her suspicions that it's the Comte St. Germain [Stanley Weber]. She starts to realise that there's a lot of danger in Paris and that she needs to maybe be more careful."

The hour will also find Jamie (Sam Heughan) discovering the truth about Black Jack Randall (Tobias Menzies). It turns out that the latter is still alive. What makes this interesting is the fact that Claire already knew but chose to keep mum about it. Fans may understand her reasons for doing so because she must be concerned on how the news will make Jamie feel, given the brutality her husband has suffered from the person in question. She's also afraid that the information will derail them from their mission and find Jaime heading back to Scotland to exact his revenge.

These new developments don't spell well for Jamie and Claire whose relationship has been strained lately. Viewers better expect some major confrontation between the couple.

"Outlander" Season 2 airs Saturdays at 9 on Starz.
