'Outlander' TCA Plot Spoilers, News: Series Creators and Cast Members Discuss New Episodes

Not much has been heard about the hit historical sci-fi romance drama from Starz "Outlander" ever since it went off-air for its halftime season break. But things changed, especially for the fans of the show, when the series' heads spoke during the Television Critics Association winter press tour this Friday, in Pasadena, California.

Citing executive producer Ronald D. Moore and cast members Caitriona Balfe (who plays as Claire Beauchamp Randall/Fraser) and Sam Heughan (Jamie Fraser), Yahoo! TV.com revealed some of the plot details that viewers should watch out for when the show returns.

As stated by the site, there will be "few more subtle changes" in the small screen adaptation.

"You sorta make changes along the way in order to accomplish those goals," Moore said.

The upcoming episode will also find a new narrator. The site said that this time it will be from Jamie's point of view.

"In the second part of the season, there is a lot more about Jamie. He's finding his place in the world. He has new responsibilities. He's got to deal with relationships he'd rather not deal with — his sister, his dead father. We start to see his stubborn side, his pride. He's less idealistic. We start to see the chinks in the armor. He's very vulnerable and he learns a lot," Heughan chimed in.

The cast and crew also went on to reveal that "Outlander" is now set to begin filming for its second season. The executive producer then said that filming for its upcoming chapter will primarily take place in Scotland.

"We will continue to shoot in Scotland. The second book has a section in Paris but then it returns to Scotland in the second half," Moore confirmed. "We'll build interiors at our facility where we do all of our stage work and we will do some location work in Scotland."

"Then for exterior Paris, we are starting the process of looking around and seeing where else we can shoot that material," he added.

The "Outlander" mid-season premiere will air this Saturday, April 4 at 9 p.m. on Starz.
