'Overwatch' Rumors: Who Will Be the 24th Hero? New Clues Pointing to Different Candidates

Next 'Overwatch' hero no longer expected to be Doomfist

Fans still don't know exactly who the next hero coming to "Overwatch" will be, but there seem to be some candidates who have emerged recently.

The first candidate is one who doesn't even have a name yet, but whose potential introduction to the game was hinted at by a listing spotted on the website of actor Alex Malaos.

The listing has since been deleted but fans over on Reddit have taken note of it, and what it seems to suggest is that the actor apparently worked on an unnamed "Greek" character.

Unfortunately, there really isn't that much else known about this so-called "Greek" character, and that could work against this individual ending up becoming the next figure being introduced since developers have yet to even hint at who this could possibly be.

As for the other potential addition, this character is one that has been talked about more, and developers even revealed numerous details about her in a recent post on the game's official website.

The name of this potential roster addition is Efi Oladele and details about her were revealed via an in-universe interview piece.

In the post, it was revealed that Oladele has recorded numerous accomplishments in the fields of robotics and artificial intelligence and that she managed to do all of that at the young age of 11.

That she is indeed an expert in those aforementioned fields even makes it seem as though she will feature obvious strengths if she does end up being added to "Overwatch," but she herself may not be in the game.

Instead, the latest rumors are hinting that Oladele herself may not be playable, but something she controls could be.

As a recent report from PVP Live pointed out, a previously released trailer for the game shows the Numbani flag linked to what appears to be a "spider-like mecha." Considering that Oladele is from Numbani, there is a belief that the mecha could be the one that ends up getting added to the game.

Citing an earlier leak, PCGamesN noted that this new character may be known as Anchora.

For now, "Overwatch" fans will just have to keep an eye on how things play out and hope that developers will formally introduce the next hero sooner rather than later, so that their questions can be answered.
