'Paragon' News, Updates: New Character Shinbi Arrives on Feb. 21

The developers for multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) title "Paragon" are certainly working hard to deliver new characters every three weeks. This week, another female character with an unexpected personality named Shinbi is set to arrive, and she is definitely a big surprise to gamers.

In the announce trailer, players can easily recognize that she was brought to life from the concept of a K-Pop Star with the song, flashy choreography and flirty hand gestures. There is nothing fancy, however, with how she attacks by conjuring spectral wolves to do her bidding and inflict pain on her enemies.

Her skills are further discussed in an overview, in which she is described as a melee assassin. Two of her skills, namely Line Tempo and Rushing Beat, deal damage in a straight line and are useful in closing the gap with fleeing enemies. Circle Rhythm is rather unique and useful as it damages enemies in an area around her and heals her at the same time.

Her ultimate skill, All-Kill, possesses both passive and active traits. All of her abilities apply one Spirit Wolf Stack per hit, and attacks the closest target when activated, making it a devastating technique in the right hands.

Being a melee fighter, however, she is easily overwhelmed by crowds, and so it is important to carefully dive into battle no matter how potentially mobile she is. One will have to understand precisely how to deal with crowd control or steer clear until a better situation is seen.

After Serath and Aurora, Shinbi is the third female character in a row to be introduced to the world of "Paragon." While there are those who criticize her persona for being ill-fitted to the game, there are still those who rush in defense and would urge others to wait for the game's lore to make more sense of each character.

"Paragon" releases a new character every three weeks, and so a new one is set to take the stage on March 14.
