Last year, the Parisians were eliminated by Barcelona in the quarterfinals. Despite not reaching the showpiece match, it was considered a good result for PSG as they made their claim as one of the top teams in Europe.

However, they are trying to move even closer, if not win the whole competition with their window slowly closing.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is aging and there are talks of him moving away from the team after the season and the same can be said for other stars like Ezequiel Lavezzi and Edinson Cavani.

So with the team at their peak at the moment, this may be the best time for them to challenge for the elusive UCL title.

On the other hand, Malmo needed to go through almost all qualifying rounds to book their place in the group stages.

Beginning in the second round, Malmo eliminated Zalgiris from Lithuania. Then they outlasted Salzburg from Austria before reaching the playoffs where they faced Celtic.

Despite losing the first leg 3-2, Malmo bounced back in their home leg to win 2-0 and advance thanks to a 4-3 aggregate.

They have reached this far and are now against the top teams in Europe but expect Malmo to put up a fight as they have done all season long.
