Passion Experience Tour 2003 Capacity Crowds

The Passion Experience Tour 2003 has already been attended by more than 40,000 people and logged 12 sold out cities with capacity crowds in cities all across the country. With ticket sales and the prayers and monetary gifts received through offerings given by those in tour cities leading up to Boston, Passion was enabled to offer the tour for free Nov. 4 in Boston. The resulting tour appearance gathered 2,650 mostly college age people that filled the historic Orpheum Theatre, potentially drawing the largest collegiate worship gathering in Boston's history.

“The prayers of a nation were answered as a capacity crowd filled the Orpheum Theatre in the heart of Boston,” says author and Passion founder/director Louie Giglio. Students came from all over Boston to celebrate and lift up the name of Jesus.

“We want you to know how grateful we are for those of you who prayed for us and carried the vision in your hearts,” continues Giglio. “We were humbled to be able to stand before this amazing gathering of people to tell them this was a gift from their brothers and sisters across America.”

One worshipper who attended the tour in Boston wrote, “I am not sure if I can even begin to articulate what is in my heart here. I don't know if I should use all caps, or wipe my tears on the screen, or what, but here is the deal: I saw a theatre full of Christians that I did not know existed here. There is no way that many people can be sold out to following Jesus in this city and the city not be changed. Thank you, Jesus.” The worshipper went on to mention in his email that the crowd’s worship was so exuberant that the 150 year-old Orpheum Theatre began to visibly shake.

Following the release of the newest, best-selling Passion album, Passion: Sacred Revolution - Songs From OneDay03, and the September 16 release of a companion DVD, Passion: Sacred Revolution-Live From OneDay03, the 35-city major market Passion Experience Tour 2003 began in Phoenix Sept. 28 and runs through Nov. 23 in St. Louis. The tour features Giglio, as well as critically acclaimed sixsteps/Sparrow Records’ artist-worshippers Chris Tomlin, David Crowder Band and Charlie Hall performing music from the highly successful Passion albums as well as selections from each of their respective solo projects.
