The Southern Baptist Pastors’ Conference in Indianapolis, as a prelude to the denomination’s annual meeting, opened with great passion and powerful sermons by several of the church’s most renowned speakers, June 13-14, 2004.

Throughout the conference, the attendees emphasized four themes: Gospel, the Kingdom, repentance and the Word.

Featured speakers included Jerry Vines, pastor of First Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Fla.; Johnny Hunt, pastor of First Baptist Church of Woodstock, Ga.; Stephen Olford, president of Encounter Ministries in Memphis, Tenn.; Adrian Rogers, pastor of Bellevue Baptist Church in Cordova, Tenn.; and Paige Patterson, president of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas.
