Showtime's hit horror-thriller TV drama series "Penny Dreadful" gets even more interesting as it treads forward on its second season with yet another intriguing episode titled "Above the Vaulted Sky" this week.

Spoiler alert for those who missed "Evil Spirits in Heavenly Places": Evelyn Poole's (Helen McCrory) evil minions attacked Sir Malcolm's (Timothy Dalton) mansion with one intention in mind – to get a piece of Vanessa (Eva Green).

TV Guide posted the network's official synopsis for the upcoming episode and it indicates that the witch, Madame Kali, has gotten her hands with Vanessa's hair strands which mean that the voodoo doll she created on Miss Ives' likeness is finally complete.

Meanwhile, the Creature who assumed the name of John Clare (Rory Kinnear) is getting more impatient with Dr. Frankenstein (Harry Treadaway) concerning Lily, who was the resurrection of the dead Brona (Billie Piper).

The deal between the two implies that Victor will prepare Brona to be betrothed to John. However, the last episode shows the creator falling in love with his creation. Spoiler reports indicated that the weird love triangle between John, Victor, and Brona will continue to be dealt with throughout the season.

Speaking of romance, VC Post reported that fans will likely see Ethan (Josh Hartnett) and Vanessa getting close together as the latter asked the American marksman to accompany her in her sleep after she saw a disturbing vision.

Sir Malcolm, on the other hand, will be further enamored with Evelyn. In one of the promo clips, Evelyn stealthily punctures Sir Malcolm with a needle hidden in her ring while handing him his drink.
