Philadelphia Eagles vs Jacksonville Jaguars takes place on Saturday night as the NFL Preseason 2013 football schedule continues. The Eagles will be wanting to build on the good win they claimed last week, and continue building towards their regular season opener against Washington on Sept. 9. The game starts at 7.30 p.m. ET and can be watched online through free live stream (details below).
The Eagles have had two relatively close games so far this preseason; losing against the New England Patriots on Aug. 9 by a score of 22-31. However, they bounced back well to claim a low-scoring win against Carolina last week 14-9.
The Eagles have been impressive in offense, although they haven't entirely managed to convert that into points. In yardage, they are ranked 3rd in the NFL so far this preseason with 426.5 yards per game. They have been impressive in both pass and rush, with 278.0 yards and 148.5 yards respectively, ranking them 4th and 5th in the NFL in those areas. However, despite those impressive statistics they have only scored an average of 18 points a game – ranking a lowly 18th in the NFL.
They will be hoping to convert their impressive gains into points tonight and be more ruthless in their execution.
The Jaguars meanwhile are 0-2 and looking like this season could be a long one for them already. They were trounced by Miami 3-27, and then smashed by the NY Jets 13-37 last week. If they continue in the same form they could have one of the worst seasons in recent memory, and they must do something to improve across the field.
Their pass offense has been seriously lacking, only recording 175.5 yards per game so far. Their rush has been better with 112.0 yards per game so far. However, with an average of just 8 points per game they will be seriously wondering who they can beat if they cannot convert more possession into points.
