Franchise mainstays Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson have already confirmed their involvement in the third sequel project back in June.

Meanwhile, Elizabeth Banks, who served as a cast member and producer on the last films, is expected to reprise her role as Gail. She will also be producing the forthcoming title under her Brownstone Productions company.

However, it remains to be seen who will be taking over Banks's directorial role for "Pitch Perfect 3."

Kay Cannon, the franchise writer, will also be returning to pen the third flick.

As of the moment, there's still no information on the storyline for PP3. An earlier report from Us Magazine only cited their insider saying that "nobody knows" about it yet.

"Pitch Perfect 2" has raked more than $180 million at the U.S. box office alone since its May 15 premiere outing. Globally, the movie earned $282 million, making it the highest-grossing musical movie of all time.

The 2012 "Pitch Perfect," on the other hand, debuts with a $115 million worldwide ticket sales.
