The Pittsburgh Penguins will play the New York Rangers at the Madison Square Garden in New York on Sunday in Game 6 of their NHL 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs series. Today's game starts at 7 p.m. ET and can be watched on TV on the NBC network, or online through free live stream (details below).

The Rangers have fought hard to stop a Playoffs meltdown, and they did fantastically well on Friday night to make sure their season did not end there. Their reward is to face off against the Penguins tonight at Madison Square Garden in front of thousands of their home fans for the chance to square the series at 3-3 and force a decisive Game 7 out of the series.

Hard work and a fantastic team ethic has seen the Rangers give themselves a fighting chance at pulling something special off in this series, but it will all mean nothing if they cannot now win tonight and level the series back to 3-3.

If they can pull off a miraculous comeback against Pittsburgh then they will get the chance at the Eastern Conference Finals, but there is still a lot of work to do before they can think of that, and they must put on two top drawer performances to even stand a chance.

Rangers coach Alain Vigneault said Saturday, ''Our first game at home, we played real well. We limited Pittsburgh to 15 shots, we had 35 shots, we had a good amount of scoring chances. We just didn't finish. The second game - obviously, we'd like to forget about that one."

"It's going to be a very emotional night again for our group, being Mother's Day, and the situation that Marty is going through," Vigneault said.

St. Louis' father and sister will be in attendance for Game 6, and the player will once again rally with his teammates following his mother's death earlier this week.

"Hopefully, that will bring us some positive energy," Vigneault said. "We've been able through adversity and through some of these moments to focus in the right areas. That's what I think we did last night. We applied the game plan we wanted to apply."

"If our intentions are on continuing to play this year, we have to win. Pittsburgh, if they don't win, they still have another opportunity. From our standpoint, we don't have a choice. Our level of play, our level of execution, our level of compete and desperation has to be as high as it can be."
