'Planescape: Torment' Remaster Release Date Is on April 11

"Planescape: Torment" has long been held as one of the classic games that have set a high standard in terms of its story, dialogue, characters and setting. Fans have time and again wanted to revisit the iconic game with today's crop of hardware, and now, the new "Planescape: Torment Enhanced Edition" will offer support for 4K resolution on Macs and PCs, according to a feature article by gaming news site Engadget.

It's not only the visuals of the beloved classic game that will be retouched in the upcoming launch of "Planescape: Torment Enhanced Edition," according to digital entertainment news outlet Polygon. The soundtrack from the original "Planescape: Torment" will also be given the remaster treatment as well, in which all the music from the original game will be re-rendered at a higher quality and bit-rate compared with the soundtrack of the original game.

The remaster will also slightly update the user interface of the game to adapt it more to the expectations of gamers more accustomed to modern game interfaces that are around today. Players who are looking for the real 90s experience, however, also have the option to turn the user interface improvements off.
