This offer gives users who will grab it a 55% saving rate from the regular monthly plan. For starters, a 7-day free trial period is recommended. Players can then access over 400 games from the library of PlayStation 3, with PSX and PlayStation 2 games to reportedly follow.

Much like the now discontinued OnLive Gaming System, the PlayStation Now for PC does not utilize local emulation and porting, but instead streams the games via the internet. This is system builds upon Gaikai's infrastructure, which was OnLive's competitor back then, and was recently acquired by Sony. Due to this, gaming quality is heavily dependent on Sony's internet servers and the quality of the users' internet connection.

Users can download the new PC app from Sony PlayStation Now's official website. The minimum requirements for PC include at least 300MB of free space, 2GB of RAM, OS running Windows 7 (SP1), 8.1 or 10, a processor of 2.0Ghz Intel Core i3 or higher, a sound card, and a USB Port for the peripherals.

A compatible DualShock 4 Controller is also required, along with a minimum 5 Mbps broadband internet connection. Other gamers say that in order to achieve a gaming level free of lag and stutter, a 10 or 15 Mbps internet connection is a must, along with at least a 3.5GHz processor.
