There are currently 142 known Pokemon in "Pokemon Go" and aside from Ditto, there are region-specific Pokemon that can only be captured in certain places. "Pokemon Go" players are also looking for the other first-gen legendaries including Mew, Mewtwo, Moltres, Articuno and Zapdos.

How to Find, Capture Ditto and other Legendaries
Some "Pokemon Go" players are convinced in theories that Ditto may have been hiding in plainsight or among their captured Pokemon. According to Heavy, players have tried various ways to try to "unlock" Ditto using strange methods.

Some players have opted to take actual photos of Bulbasaur because in "Pokemon Snap," a Ditto transformed into a Bulbasaur. Taking photos of it could un-transform the Ditto but it has not worked so far.

Other "Pokemon Go" players have also renamed all their captured Pokemon to Ditto to see if it does anything or unlock the elusive Pokemon. Various "Pokemon Go" threads are rife with Ditto theories and so far, it hasn't yielded any sighting or capture for Ditto. Their efforts may be futile because it may be possible that like other legendaries including Mew, Mewtwo, Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres, including Ditto may just not be available yet.

Region-Exclusive Pokemon in 'Pokemon Go'
Instead of chasing after Ditto and the other legendaries, players can opt to capture region-exclusive Pokemon. However, these "Pokemon Go" creatures may only be captured if the players have the luxury of time and money as these Pokemon are divided all over the world.

"Pokemon Go" Tauros is a region-exclusive Pokemon that can be found in the US. However, there are three Pokemon that are in other parts of the world. According to GameRant, Mr. Mime can only be found in Europe, Farfetch'd can be found in Japan and Kangaskhan can be found in Australia and New Zealand.

With the information presented above, are you still willing to work on the theories to capture Ditto or wait for the official announcements? Let us know if you intend to catch 'em all even if you have to travel the world in the comments below.
