'Pokemon Go' News and Updates: Team Mystic, Valor, Instinct Leaders Revealed; More Pokemon Coming Soon and More! [DETAILS]

The Team Leaders for Mystic, Valor and Instinct Have Been Revealed

While the names of the "Pokemon GO" team leaders are known, players and fans don't know what they look like.

The character art for Team Valor's Candela, Team Mystic's Blanche and Team Instinct's Spark has been unveiled at the San Diego Comic Con 2016 (SDCC 2016). The art for the team leaders was only made final just before the launching of "Pokemon GO" that is why only their silhouettes were put in place.

The official character art of the team leaders was tweeted by the official twitter handle of "Pokemon Go." Team Valor's team leader Candela is a short haired woman in a stylish short dress. Team Mystic's Blanche is a long, white-haired woman who, many believe, is androgynous. Team Instinct is the only "Pokemon Go" team with a male leader, Spark.

Now that there are visuals on the team leaders, it's not surprising that some may jump from their teams to twitch. Unfortunately, team switching is not allowed in "Pokemon GO," Destructoid noted. According to the official website for "Pokemon Go," team switching is currently not allowed. It is not known if this will change in the future.

According to Business Insider, each team is associated with legendary birds Articuno, Moltres and Zapdos. "Pokemon GO" players may catch legendaries based on their teams. Niantic is expected to make an announcement soon regarding the teams.

'Pokemon Go' News, Features and Updates

"Pokemon Go" had a panel at the recently concluded SDCC 2016 and Niantic CEO John Hanke delivered some new information about the global AR game. Engadget notes that even though "Pokemon Go" has launched, developers are still continuing to develop the game. There are features such as in training, trading and possibly Pokemon breeding that may be in place soon.

Furthermore, Niantic is interested in adding more features to the PokeStops in "Pokemon Go." According to the outlet, there will be more customizations that could be added such as giving it a feature similar to PokeCenters in the games and anime.

Since "Pokemon Go" has been out since July 5, it is not impossible to hear of diligent Pokemon Trainors who have caught all 142 Pokemon. Business Insider reports that Nick Johnson of Brooklyn, NY has caught all 142 Pokemon he found in the United States. In line with this, rare Pokemon are coming according to Hanke, as the outlet reported. There are currently 145 out of 151 current Pokemon that have been seen by players worldwide.
