'Pokémon Go' Tips, Tricks: Newly Added Nanab and Pinap Berries

Newly added Berries available via the PokéStops inside 'Pokémon Go'

The recently rolled out "Pokémon Go" update is drawing heaps of attention because it is adding numerous new creatures to the game. However, those aren't the only notable additions included.

Also included in this massive update are two new types of Berries, and these can end up becoming valuable additions as well.

The two new Berries are the Nanab and the Pinap, and they can be useful in different situations.

Starting with the Nanab Berry, this is one that players will want to use on particularly pesky Pokémon who simply don't want to get caught. As developers noted, the Nanab Berry can slow down the movements of the Pokémon it is used on, and that will make it easier for Trainers to catch them.

The Nanab Berry's usefulness is pretty evident, so players will want to obtain as much of these as they can in order to make those previously troublesome Pokémon encounters easier to handle this time around.

The Pinap Berry is one that will be beneficial to players and their Pokémon over a longer stretch of time. This is one players can use to earn double the amount of Candy, provided that they succeed with their next catch attempt after using it.

As noted in a recent report from Mic, the presence of Pinap Berries at least provides "Pokémon Go" players with a different way to farm for Candy, and one that could be more efficient depending on their situation inside the game.

There are a few more tweaks involving Berries that players will want to know about.

Redditor "Sky_22" posted on r/TheSilphRoad that an icon now indicates if a Pokémon has been given a Berry and the exact type of Berry is also identified.

In a separate post on the same Subreddit, user "sts_ssp" noted that only one Berry can be used on a Pokémon.

More news about the new features in "Pokémon Go" should be made available soon.
