Police have reported that four people have been fatally shot at an apartment in Tulsa, Okla. on Monday, and a young toddler was also found alive at the scene of the crime.

All four of those killed were women, and their bodies were found within the Fairmont Terrace Apartments complex on Monday following an emergency call to 911.

A four year old boy was also found in the residence, reportedly distraught, although he was physically unharmed.The quadruple homicide is being investigated by the Tulsa Police Department's Gang Unit, although early reports indicate that there are no suspects emerging in the immediate aftermath.

The four victims have also been described in a Charleston Daily Mail report as being in their teens or early 20s, although authorities have not disclosed information on the women or whether they were related.

Police have also not confirmed whether the young four your old was related to any of the victims.

Leland Ashley, a Tulsa police spokesman, has said, "Our detectives are beating the bushes and so are our patrol officers and our gang units."

According to reports, investigators believe the four victims were all killed sometime around noon. An emergency 911 call was placed with police at about 12.30 p.m. local time, authorities have confirmed.

"Right now, we have no clear-cut suspect we're looking at at this point," said police spokesman Leland Ashley, according to The Associated Press.

Ashley added, "I don't want to strike fear in the community tonight, but we do have an individual or individuals who murdered four people. Do we know if there was a motive, like a jealous lover? We don't know that. We can't say if it was random or if someone knew (the victims)."

Ashley has also said that police are hopeful someone in the nearby community would come forward with more information: "We still have a lot of questions that need to be answered at this point. ... Our concern is for the small child, possibly having to witness this horrific tragedy."
