Porsha Stewart Gets Advice From Former 'RHOA' Star Sheree Whitfield

Sheree Whitfield, a former cast member of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta," is giving the show's newest cast member Porsha Stewart advice about the recent announcement of her pending divorce.

While Stewart's estranged husband Kordell Stewart is a former NFL player, so is Whitfield ex-husband Bob Whitfield. Although Sheree's last season of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" was during season four, she gave the season five cast member some advice about the divorce process.

"As a woman my heart goes out to her. Stay positive, stay strong and keep moving forward," Stewart told Rumorfix.com recently. "It's not easy. It's not easy for anyone, but it will get better."

Whitfield said she understood what it was like to be married to a former NFL player, much like Stewart.

"I would tell anyone whether they were married to an NFL player or a trash collector, 'You definitely have to have those people you can trust around you- and, of course, you have to cry," Whitfield told Rumorfix.com recently. "I honestly think marriages that were broken up on any reality show came into the reality show with problems."

After her estranged husband made headlines for filing for divorce from "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" star last month, Stewart took to her Instagram account to share a faith-based message with fans.

"Difficult moments, seek God. Quiet moments, worship God," Porsha shared on Instagram. "Painful moments, trust God. Every moment, thank God."

The reality television star has been vocal about her Christian faith on "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" and thanked those praying for her on Twitter.

"Thank you for your Prayers," she tweeted.

Media sources like TMZ reported about the divorce taking place between Stewart and her husband. Porsha, the granddaughter of civil-rights leader Hosea Williams, was reportedly shocked by the news.

"Mrs. Stewart is disappointed about her husband's recent filing for divorce. Mrs Stewart held off on filing for divorce herself and remained committed to the marriage because Mr. Stewart promised to work on the marriage with her," the estranged Mrs.Stewart's representative reportedly told OMG! Yahoo. "Instead, he misled her and she found out about the filing in the media. Mrs. Stewart hopes to resolve these personal issues privately with the support of her family, friends and strong faith."
