OnePlus One Release Date Pre-Orders News: Available for 1 Hour on November 17, 2014

OnePlus, the company which brought the One smartphone, previously announced another pre-order window for the aforementioned smartphone on Nov. 17. Recently, it has also added that the pre-order window will only be open for one hour, the same time as the first pre-order duration last Oct. 27.

On the company's blog, Bridget Hickey said, "When the one-hour pre-order windows opens on November 17 at 16:00 GMT (8 A.M. PST, 11 A.M. EST, 9:30 P.M. IST), you'llbe all set to check out and complete your order with the click of a button."

"If we have the items in stock, we'll ship immediately. If we don't your order will automatically convert to a pre-order," she added. Customers are also informed that they won't be charged for the phone's cost until the item actually ships out, allowing them enough time to cancel their order should they change their minds.

The opening of a second pre-order window was brought by difficulties during the first one on Oct. 27.

Previously, interested customers had trouble accessing the site due to the sheer number of traffic the website was getting, despite the company's efforts in doubling server capacity.

The OnePlus One smartphone has a 5.5-inch touchscreen with a display resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Inside, the handset is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset with a quad-core 2.5GHz processor and an Adreno 330 GPU. It also has 3GB of RAM.

Pre-orders will include the 16GB and 64GB variants, with the 64GB variant making its debut in the Indian market. As the company has expressed their intent in minimizing risks, India will be getting a specific invite system.
