Prince Harry and Girlfriend Receive Royal 'Seal of Approval' From Charles

Prince Harry and new girlfriend Cressida Bonas have allegedly received the royal "seal of approval" from his father, Prince Charles. Harry and Bonas stepped out this weekend at The Rum Kitchen restaurant and bar in Notting Hill, but they were first publicly linked when seen at the premiere of "The Dark Knight Rises."

"Harry knew he needed a nod from his dad so people would take them seriously as a couple. He was understandably nervous but asked Charles if they could meet over a 'kitchen supper,' an informal, simple meal. It was the least pressures setting he could think of," an insider told Now magazine.

"[Charles] thought she was bubbly well-mannered and a natural beauty– something he truly appreciates. Charles made it clear that she had his approval, so much that he asked if they wanted to join him on his ski trip. Cressie couldn't as she had work commitments in London, but she was thrilled to be asked," the source continued.

Apparently Bonas and Harry kept in touch during his tour of duty in Afghanistan and were thrilled to be reunited upon his return. The two have been out and about together more and more, leading to speculation that Harry is finally ready to settle down. Bonas could be a good match for the prince, given her family history.

She is the daughter of Lady Mary Curzon and businessman Jeffrey Bonas of Old Harrovian. Having a title in the family certainly helps when it comes to the royals, except in the case of Kate Middleton, who had no official title when she began dating Prince William.

"It's early days, but the fact that Harry organized a dinner with Charles so soon is an indicator he's serious. Charles had a good talk with Cressie and thought she was delightful. That's definitely a good sign for the future," the insider explained.

Bonas is a trained dancer who is currently a student. She was friends with Harry's cousin, Eugenie, who introduced them last year.
