Prince has opened his home to his fans, with the singer giving an insight into his residence for a concert to reintroduce his backing band, the New Power Generation on Oct. 5, 2013.
The "Purple Rain" singer has decided to do things differently, and staged a show at his Paisley Park home in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The singer charged a $50 donation at the door for those who wanted to the chance to join – although it was not immediately clear who the donation would be going to.
No cameras or video recording devices were allowed, and fans were also told to leave their audio recorders and cell phones at home if they wanted to come in.
The residence of course is not Prince's main personal home, but the residence is where Prince recorded nearly all of his albums since 1987 – in his back yard.
The singer was joined by his current band 3rdEyeGirl, as well as former band New Power Generation.
Prince has held the very personal concert as he wanted to do something for the local Minnesota community, according to reports.
Hannah Ford, the drummer for 3rdEyeGirl has said, "We really just wanted to open up Paisley to the public and invite Minnesota and everybody else who can make it out."
She added, "This one is more-so like a spur of the moment event to spend tme with our community and throw and big concert for everybody and show off some of the stuff we're working on."
