Producers of 'One Night With The King' Presents Christmas Movie

The production company behind the movie based on the story of Queen Esther is presenting a new faith-based film they hope families will enjoy this holiday season.

Gener8Xion Entertainment is set to release Noëlle, a VOVO Films production, in select theaters nationwide on Dec. 7.

The film's writer, director and producer, David Wall, plays Father Jonathan Keene, a cold, impatient Catholic priest who arrives at a tiny fishing village the week before Christmas to shut down a parish that the archdiocese has determined to be not financially viable.

But things take an unexpected turn, according to Gener8Xion Entertainment, as Keene becomes entangled in the various lives of the village's eccentric characters, including their beautiful librarian, the childlike priest he is displacing, and the magical experience of Mrs. Worthington's legendary Christmas Party, where everyone is welcome and anything is possible.

"The film is not only about discovering who we really are; it is about realizing who we are not," said Wall.

Matt Crouch, chairman and CEO of Gener8Xion Entertainment, said the movie's message is about hope and second chances.

"We believe that everyone deserves a second chance," said Crouch. "Noëlle is a film about hope – a story that will inspire everyone to realize that a second chance is always an option in this life."

For his work in the film, Wall was named the Best Director at the 2006 Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival. The film was also the first runner-up for the Best American Indie title at the event.
