Promise Keepers Calls on Christian Men to Switch from Movement to Mission
President of Promise Keepers Dr. Tom Fortson said the organization will be changing their focus from movement to mission at the Promise Keepers Media Day on April 28, 2004. During the conference, Dr. Fortson called on all Christian men to have a greater influence in areas such as the marketplace and culture.
Dr. Fortson organized the media partly due to the surprising results of a recent study on men's spirituality, which the organization commissioned, revealed 85 percent of men to not be spirituall challenged. They priotized family, work and health over their spirituality and the majority of respondents were only marginally satistfied with their church experience.
