Promise Keepers Unveils Upgraded Website

Promise Keepers recently unveiled a fresh website to accommodate to a growing trend of men who prefer to register to its conferences via the internet and also connect the international PK community.

The website was launched on Oct. 29, near the time the international men’s ministry was wrapping up its 18-city UPRISING conference tour.

Aside from a new design layout which allows for easier navigation, one of the highlights of the new site is that it streamlines the process of conference registration.

“More and more men prefer registering for conferences via our secure website,” said Dr. Tom Fortson, president and CEO of Promise Keepers.

Ted Padwe, director of Information Technology Services for Promise Keepers, noted that men are continuing the trend toward web commerce and prefer ordering their conference registrations online by a three-to-two margin over phone orders.

According to Padwe, the new site will also help connect the international Promise Keepers community.

“The technology is now in place to bring together those who get our newsletters with other men’s ministry leaders and churches,” he said. “There is a clear demand for more interaction with other guys who are also going deeper in their Christianity.”

By integrating PK Ambassadors with representatives of churches, Fortson said, “that’s helping men live out Promise Number Two, to pursue vital relationships with a few other men.”

The 2004 UPRISING: The Revolution of a Man’s Soul Conference tour was attended by thousands of men. It sold out in Indianapolis, IN; Des Moines, IA; and Atlanta, GA.

In 2005, Promise Keepers will be celebrating its 15th anniversary with “THE AWAKENING” conference tour. The 20-city tour will be Promise Keeper’s most ambitious conference schedule since 1999.
