Yesterday Sony announced that PlayStation 4 owners have already acclimated over 38 years of gameplay, which is 20 million minutes, according to numbers taken from the amount of time played through Twitch and Ustream.

Polygon reports that those numbers include more than 800,000 broadcasts and 7.1 million spectator sessions.

Ustream reported that the top streamed games for the PS4 are Killzone: Shadow Fall, Battlefield 4, and Call of Duty: Ghosts, and that users spend an average of 31 minutes on the stream.

The Share button on the DualShock 4 controller is specifically for sharing videos of gamers' console play. Sony said that button has been used over 10.9 million times since the launch.

"PlayStation 4 is specifically designed so people can share their gaming experiences and interest in streaming live gameplay has surpassed our wildest expectations," president of Sony Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida said in a press statement. "We're very excited to see gamers embrace live streaming from their PS4 system and we look forward to seeing how PlayStation gamers advance social gaming in the coming years."

Sony has sold over 2.1 million PlayStation 4's since the console launched on Nov. 15.

"It's an impressive and record-setting accomplishment for our company and for our industry, and we couldn't have done it without you," Andrew House, Sony Computer Entertainment president and CEO wrote on the PlayStation Blog. "I want to personally thank PlayStation fans, both old and new, for your vote of confidence. The best part: the PS4 journey has just begun. In addition to an incredible lineup of PS4 games from the best developers in the world, we will continue to introduce valuable new features and services to PS4 in the months and years ahead."
