'Quantico' Season 1 Episode 9 Spoilers: NATs Delve Into Former Serial Killer Cases Closely

ABC's hit crime drama TV series "Quantico" Season 1 returns this week with a brand new episode that will see the introduction of Dr. Susan Langdon (played by guest star Anne Heche) who will school the New Agent Trainees (NATs) on how to identify and catch serial killers. Meanwhile, spoiler reports indicated that fans will finally get to know the identity of the bomber when the show takes off for its midseason finale.

According to the synopsis posted over at The Futon Critic, the NATs will be taking their lesson from Dr. Langdon, who is a former FBI agent and profiler. After her career with the agency, the ex-operative ventured into writing and is now a best-selling author. She will teach the trainees to look at serial killer cases and spot that one victim that doesn't seem to fit in the case. The teacher doesn't necessarily expect the students to get it at their first try. However, things will go awry "when Simon becomes too god at finding things that don't belong."

According to the report from International Business Times, Miranda Shaw (Aunjanue Ellis) won't be appearing in this weekend's episode. She was last seen bleeding to death by Alex Parrish (Priyanka Chopra) on the terrace.

The article also shared a preview for the episode showing Liam O'Connor (Josh Hopkins) getting drunk in a bar. Alex came to his rescue which eventually angered Ryan (Jake McLaughlin). Alex tries to talk to Ryan about it as the latter blurted out the fact that she's trying to help a man who tried to destroy them.

In related news, fans won't have to wait that long to find out the identity of the person behind the recent bombings on the show.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Josh Safran confirmed that the show's midseason finale in December, which is the 11th installment titled "Inside," will offer insights as to who the terrorist was.

"They may actually get an answer, much, much, much sooner than they think," he told EW.

"Quantico" airs Sundays at 10 p.m. on ABC.
