Rachel Zoe Fashion Week Appearance Canceled

Rachel Zoe announced that she would not be attending this year's Fashion Week in New York City.

The 42-year-old designer issued a statement about the upcoming fashion event which is scheduled to begin just weeks after the birth of her son, Kaius Jagger.

"As a new mother, my newborn son is too young to travel with me and I'm unable to leave him for the amount of time required to appropriately prepare for the show in New York," Zoe told Women's Wear Daily on Friday, Jan. 31.

Zoe welcomed her second child with husband Rodger Berman in Los Angeles, Calif. on Dec. 22. The cross-country flight required proved too taxing for the baby and mother, much to Zoe's fans' disappointment.

"While I look forward to New York Fashion Week each season, I've made the difficult decision to move our fall 2014 runway show from Feb. 13 in New York to a later date in Los Angeles," Zoe added to her statement.

Notwithstanding, the fashion mogul will resume fashion events in New York next season. However, New York fans will miss out on her collection this season, which is comprised of a mix between "French bohemia with Mod elements," according to WWD.

Baby Kaius joined Zoe, Bergman, and older brother Skyler who is two-years-old.

"So excited to welcome our baby boy into the world," Zoe posted to Twitter back in December. "He's 7 lbs and 12 oz, beautiful, healthy and we couldn't be happier."

Zoe first made a name for herself by dressing stars such as Kate Hudson, Nicole Richie and Jennifer Garner. She went on to star on the reality series "The Rachel Zoe Project" and began her own fashion line in 2011. The line was recently expanded to include accessories such as jewelry and cold weather gear.
