Breaking NBA trade news is that the Boston Celtics are now in the process to finalize the deal to send Rajon Rondo to the Dallas Mavericks, according to reports.

Citing sources from within the league, ESPN.com said that the Celtics and Mavericks are now entering an "agreement in principle" to deal Rondo for Dallas' Brandan Wright, Jae Crowder, and Jameer Nelson.

Marc Stein of ESPN further wrote that in addition to Crowder, Wright, and Nelson, the deal also furnished the Celtics to have the future first and second-round draft picks.

Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports saying that Celtics will be making another roster move to ensure that the trade in goes through:

"Boston will release center Vitor Faverani, league source tells Yahoo Sports. Boston needed to open a roster spot for trade," Wojnarowski tweeted.

NBC Sports also wrote that Las Vegas sports book operator CG Technology has shortened Dallas' odds in winning the NBA 2015 championship title from 13-1 to 8-1 after the news of Rondo going to Mavericks broke out.

"This isn't necessarily a bad deal for the Celtics, and it's probably the right move if the decision had been made that re-signing him this summer wouldn't be worth the cost," Brett Pollkoff of NBC Sports said.

"But being happy with the meager return is something else entirely — especially when much more could have been coming back in exchange for Rondo had the franchise previously been more decisive," Pollkoff went on to say.

Rajon Rondo's stats for this season averaged 8.3 points and 10.8 assists per game. This is his ninth in the league.
