'Ray Donovan' Season 3 Confirmed, Filming to Begin in Early 2015

Showtime's crime drama TV series "Ray Donovan" was reported to have performed well since its first airing with breaking ratings of 1.35 million viewers. It is in fact the highest for the network in terms of series debuts.
The network's decision to pick up the show for second season was of no surprise at all.

David Nevins, president of Showtime's Entertainment, was quoted by Huffington Post in their report.

"'Ray Donovan' is on track to be our biggest season one show ever," the official said. "Ann Biderman and the extraordinarily talented creative team, coupled with the brilliant ensemble cast led by Liev Schreiber, have produced one of the hottest new dramas of the year. We are proud and excited to pick up another season."

Now that it finally released its sophomore finale episode last Sept. 28, fans are already wondering if the show will be renewed for another season. The answer was reported by The Epoch Times saying that indeed, together with "Masters of Sex," "Ray Donovan" is set to return for another chapter.

"Both Ray Donovan and Masters of Sex are quintessentially Showtime: bold, provocative, premium television with production values at the top of the food chain," TET quoted Nevins from the network's latest press release.

"These acclaimed shows are filled with complex and interesting characters and settings that will no doubt give audiences compelling television to invest in for seasons to come," he added.

They further cited Bustle saying that filming for season 3 will start in early 2015 at their regular Calabasas locations. However, this particular information hasn't been officially confirmed yet.

For another 12 episodes, Liev Schreiber will again reprise his role as Los Angeles' best professional fixer. He's person whom celebrities, athletes, and business moguls call when they are into some serious situations.

Also starring are Jon Voight as Mickey Donovan, Ray's father; Steven Bauer as Avi, Ray's right-hand man; Katherine Moennig as Lena, PR press agent working for Ray; and Kerris Dorsey as Bridget, the character's daughter; to name a few.
